Meet Jason

Jason Rinker is a Pennsylvania licensed acupuncturist based in Lancaster County. With 20+ years of experience helping patients on the East and West Coasts heal their bodies naturally through the time tested 3,000 year approach of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Jason completed his undergraduate degree in Natural Health Sciences at Bastyr University, in Seattle Washington. He continued his studies in Washington State at the Northwest Institute of Oriental Medicine, where he received his Master's degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Following his schooling he took a position at University of Washington where he was a research associate in cardiovascular research. He then pursued another research position in New York City where he worked in Cardiac research at The Cardiovascular Research Foundation, CRF. In Philadelphia he worked at the acclaimed Holistically driven Myrna Brind Center at Jefferson Hospital-Marcus Institute. Continuing his quest to understand the human body in 2019 Jason completed his certificate at the Kalish Institute for Functional Medicine. Giving him another layer of understanding the bodies interrelated systems. Currently Jason holds a position at Lancaster General Hospital’s Holistic Therapy Acupuncture department as well as his personal practice.

Jason prides himself on his interconnected approach to patient care. Focusing on the whole person rather than a specific symptom(s). With a deep understanding of the body's inherent healing powers he works to subtly stimulate the body’s regenerative processes. Working closely with his patients to develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate acupuncture, physical manipulations, massage, Chinese herbal medicine, nutrition, and lifestyle recommendations. A session with Jason may include acupuncture, gua sha massage, tui na massage, electric stim applications, moxabustion, excercise/stretching recommendations, cupping therapy and much, much more.

Using his Functional Medicine training, Jason has partnered with Fullscript an online supplement store where he builds comprehensive and accessible supplement plans for his patients. Fullscript has a focus on prevention and the connected, underlying causes of a patient's symptoms which undoubtedly align with Jason’s overall approach.

In addition to his passion to help people through Chinese medicine, Jason is an avid lover of nature and music. He is restoring a late 1800’s townhome with his wife in Columbia Pa and has a 12 year old daughter and new baby on the way. As a lover of all things natural and innate, Jason recognizes the importance of connecting with family and community as well as to a natural environment. He finds within his own personal life and with his patients this ensures reduced stress symptoms fostering a balanced lifestyle.

A member of the Association for Professional Acupuncture in Pennsylvania . He is committed to providing safe, effective, and compassionate care to all patients, and helping them achieve optimal health and wellness.
